Namaste, I’m Kami, a dedicated and experienced yoga instructor committed to helping individuals discover the transformative power of yoga. With 18+ years of teaching experience, I have witnessed firsthand the profound impact that yoga can have on physical, mental, and spiritual well-being.
I am passionate about creating a welcoming and inclusive space for students of all levels, from beginners to advanced practitioners. My classes focus on combining mindful movement, breath awareness, and meditation to create a holistic yoga practice. I aim to cultivate a sense of balance, strength, and inner peace in my students on and off the mat.
I used to teach elementary and high school level children and combined the importance of yoga and mental, and physical welfare while introducing yoga to calm the mind. Currently, I am part of the Kwantlen Athletic Dept. and continue to deepen my knowledge through ongoing training and workshops. I specialize in various styles of yoga, including Hatha, Vinyasa, Yin, and Restorative yoga, and I enjoy incorporating elements from each tradition to create a well-rounded and enriching experience.
My teaching style emphasizes intuitive teachings with stretching, connecting to the breath and heart centre, and the importance of listening to your body’s wisdom. I strive to create a nurturing and uplifting atmosphere in each class, encouraging students to explore their edge while respecting their limitations.
I believe yoga is a continuous journey of self-discovery and growth. I am honored to be a guide on this path and to witness the positive transformations that unfold within my students.
